Abroad

A semester abroad is recommended for all students in the Master program.

For this purpose, the MAIB is connected to an extensive network of partner universities and exchange programs and also has its own cooperations with selected universities. In addition, students can also organize their study abroad at a university of their choice abroad on their "own initiative". In addition to the regular international offices at the FU, HU and UP, the MAIB coordination office is also available to answer your questions about studying abroad.

Students in the Master program also have access to numerous exchange opportunities at universities within the framework of ERASMUS/SOKRATES and various direct exchange programs of FU, HU and UP.

In addition, the MAIB internal cooperation network includes exchange places at the following universities:

  •  Elliott School of International Affairs of the George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
  •  School of International Service at American University, Washington, D.C.
  •  Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, College Station
  •  Department of International Relations and European Forum at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Financing a stay abroad

There are various possibilities for financial support of a semester abroad. The most important thing is to inform yourself as early as possible, since the application deadlines for some programs, such as the DAAD, expire at or before the beginning of the first semester.
